Orchestral Opportunities

RMP ORCHESTRA SIDE small

Members of the RMPO are freelance professional musicians who are paid on a project to project basis. The orchestra also undertakes some recording work, and has embarked on several international tours in recent years to the People’s Republic of China.

Regular RMP Players consist of leading professional players, casual players with some of Australia’s leading professional orchestras, advanced post-graduate and undergraduate performance students and retired professionals. Members of the RMPO have played with many of the nation’s leading ensembles including the Melbourne Symphony, Sydney Symphony, West Australian Symphony, Adelaide Symphony, Tasmanian Symphony, Australian Youth Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and the Orchestra of the Australian National Academy of Music.

The orchestra is also based at the Drill Hall, and is available for hire for concerts, corporate events, recordings and TV work. RMP musicians have recently appeared with leading international celebrities including Josh Groban and Michael Bublé, and have performed at major corporate functions and opening ceremonies.
